I don't know what to say other than
I have to rant a little before I start with the notes and stuff.
I just really think some people are kind of taking it too serious.
I get where they are coming from I really do.
But I'd never go as far as to say I hate one of the main characters when the other has done some/said almost equally as bad hings.
And what I don't get is why suddenly people tend to forget about those past said things (from either side) and solely focus on stuff that isn't even clear if it was meant or not.
I do get the strong reactions here but I think it's overdoing it without really knowing how it goes on.
It's a little too much for me there.
Just my two cents, feel free to defriend.
I don't care.
I know Sam is a little brat here but I think this serves the purpose to actually show how much they afre drifting apart.
And really Dean isn't a saint either.
I think Sam is just really frustrated that things are getting out of control like that and he is lashing out, wether under influence or not.
They are not set out to hurt each other purposely, and Sam isn't trying to be an asshole on purpose..
He is fighting for things he thinks are right and he is confused and he is maybe taking the wrong approach here.
Anyway, it feels a little like Metamorphosis, and well I wanted to hit both boys then.

Dean is so the jealousboyfriend brother and the way he flops back down when Sam finishes his phonecall is kinda cute.

So this episode was great, despite the fact that it was entire show case about how much the boys are drifting apart. Still, I liked it.
I am not about to send either Sam or Dean into damnation for what they said, because yes they were under a spell and yes it might be a little truth in those words but I see it like it was set to happen sooner or later.
You can love a person with all you heart and still want to lash out, that doesn't mean you puposefully wangt to hurt them or that you even realise your hurting them in the first place.
I think Sam was an ass there but he wasn't being one because of Dean.
Sam's in a lot of shit there and Dean is one aspect to it, the biggest part probably. Dean is still the one anchoring him, if Dean hadn't gotten back Sam would be far worse off than he is right now. So I see it like a little bit of hope still there, even if they fight and say hurtful things.
And really Dean basically disclaimed his unconditional love to Sam.
Which I really appreciate and all.

Dean did, too... and Dean is the one telling Sam he doesn't trust him anymore. What's Sam supposed to do? Beg for Dean's trust? Not be his own man, like he was forced to the months Dean was gone, stop feeling guilty that he is the reason for Dean being gone in the first place?
Maybe the guilt place a heavy role for both of them. Dean has done a lot for Sam, has given up his life even so it's kind of natural for Sam to feel guilty about it. Sam also feels guilty that he is doing things he thinks are right and for the good cuase but knows Dean disapporves off. So that might be a reason for Sam to say Dean is holding him back. I am not so sure about the better hunter thing not being influenced by the siren. There was no need for Bobby to say not feel bad in the end if the writer's inteneded it to be an open end.
Dean feels guilt for not looking out for Sam, for wanting the Sam back that he knew before he died. But that's just not possible anymore, too many things have happened and I think they both know it.
It makes sense that the brotherly moments are rare and far in between now, and that sometimes they feel odd. Because those aren't the same men they were four years ago.
Too many things have happened, and they would be less human if those things wouldn't have changed them
I am not sure what to think about some things in this episode and I am not really spoiled but I am curious how they will go on with the whole brother vs brother thing.
I think I just want the brothers be brothers again.

the boys talked yeah... but at what price? and all the things they said... they really meant them, the siren can't be an excuse. And it's just so sad. It broke my heart to see them like that.

Sure Sam comes across as heartless and non-feeling but do they think it's just a weakness in the plot or is it really something getting the story along??
I think both, Sam and Dean, aren't really 100% right or wrong in what they do.. Because really, they are human after all.
It totally was sooo wincesty. Not very subtle Mr, Kripke.. ;)
Dean just can't be without Sam... and I think it's getting clear that Sam can't be without Dean either, because then he would lose the anchor Dean is to him.

There were some things that just needed to be said, after all this behind-my-brother's-back stuff. The escalation and the fight were so purifying, imo. Or, at least I hoped they were. I'm not sure after Dean's declaration in the end... :/
But it was better than what we've seen so far in this season. There were so many scenes where one of the brothers revealed a tiny bit of what he was feeling / what he had experienced and it was all very emotional. But then they didn't even acknowledge that in the next episode! They completely ignored it and drifted more and more apart, even though there were TONS of incentives to feel closer again! I have to admit this really annoys me. Because they have this big metaplot and obviously also a huge character development in both boys (which we didn't get to see, as it was while Dean was in hell) and all we get to see of this is Sam and Dean getting bitchier and bitchier with each other? Hmmph. And I still don't understand what made Sam the person he is now. One would normally assume that as soon as Dean got back, he'd slowly feel okay again.
But the revelation that the one person Dean needs and wants the most is his little brother... awww, hello warm fuzzy feeling in my belly. ♥
That said, I believe the whole guilt issue is a huge part of this season's metaplot and I'd love to see that dealt with in more details. :)

Oh I liked this episode as well. A lot actually.
I was just annoyed by the Sam-hate spreading all over.
The fight was bound to happen with everything go on and they way they are (NOT) dealing with things.
I think I get a little why Sam is the way he is right now. Dean has changed when he came back and Sam had to deal with his Dean being gone for so long,. They both need time to get to know each other again and they just don't the time. I think Sam is trying to dot he right things, is trying to go on like they did before but that's just not possible anymore. Too many things have changed and I think he doesn't really know how to deal with Dean being there again and with Dean not really dealing with things.
But that's just how I see it.. LOL
Yeah, guilt has a lot to do with it. And of course this fight should have been the beginning of them talking, but no they aren't.. They are dealing with it in the typical Winchester way.. which is not good at all.
But really, seeing as both brother saw the siren as the perfect mate and it was both times the brother it says a lot how they feel deep down.
Dean loves his Sammy. *nods*
