After 7 years today is the day that Aaron Peirsol Online.com will shut down.

I'll keep the news blog open but that will be it. I think it was a sign that the new company owning now owning the one I signed the domain with sort of didn't react at all when I tried to get a new account to renew the domain. Hope they don't treat all of the new clients like this. I should be sadder about it I think but I have sort of lost the big enthusiasm about it all. I still love swimming, I still love to watch and to know what Aaron is doing, I just don't need to have the site anymore.
I am a little sad though, seeing how many contacts I made through that site, where the site is listed and what kind of people actually still talk to me.
But Aaron has his own official site now and I think thart's one of the reasons why I am not trying to keep mine, I don't feel like something is left unsolved.. or whatever.

Seven years is a long time though and Aaron is still active.
But I have been thinking about it for a while now and I think I have come to terms with giving it up.

I feel like a huge part of my life is ending but surprisingly enough, right now I don't miss it all that much (I guess I'll miss all the lovely emails from NBC and Arena, and that is not meant in a sarcastic way, because those companies sort of know how to be fanfriendly).

It was fun while it lasted though and I don't regret a single thing.

It also figures that now The Race Club has decided to follow me on Twitter and that Ed is back tweeting as well.

Geoff sure as hell seemed to be fascinated by the pool in Berlin. And by Mike ( judging from the pictures he took ). And Berlin was the only World Cup meet he actually posted picture from.

I just decide to clean out my inbox and delete all the old and unnecessary emails in there.
The thing is I deleted all the comments I am wanted to answer to still as well.
Bah...

So I know I owe some comments and I remember that someone asked me for my thesis topic. I just can't remember who it was or when it was or if I have answered that question.
Ooops. Sorry.

I also kind of suck at organising my day. Where the hell have my two off days gone? I wanted to do so much.

Edit: It is really interesting to get press releases and media stuff from NBC again. And ti's just a Grand Prix meet. I never thought I'd see they day they are pushing swimming outside the Olympic hype.
Oh and apparently the Japanese swimmer who broke Ryan's WR two days ago did so in a new suite not approve by FINA yet. Wonder what they will do now. But the thing I found interesting is that it was an Arena suit, and Aaron is with Arena now. :)

Why do people keep on writing to the mail addy on the site trying to hook up with Aaron?
I don't know how often I have said it or had it on the site itself (and yes I will have to do it again as it seems) that this is NOT Aaron, nor a way to reach Aaron.
People obviously can't read and obviously think they can hook up with someone they don't know via email... oh wait that actually works.

Seems like I'll still be able and allowed to submit the story. At least I know I can get it done on time now.
Not much missing anymore.

I am still kinda speechless about Supernatural's "Everybody loves a Clown". This show is on the way to some serious character development. And this looks good so far. Very good even.
I hoped for season 2 to be better but right now I am in awe about the fact that this is going to happen.
Anyway, on to ramblings and ( spoilers ). So yeah I still love this show and it's getting better and better. I hope it stays like that. Okay, that episode wasn't that much like fanfic, which is good. But spoilers ahead.. I keep hoping it won't be like that on-screen though.

And now I actually should start working on the paper again, but I am so damn tired and headachy that I think I will drag that on into tomorrow. I still want to work on a new layout for Klete and actually update APO some time soon. I just don't feel like it and I don't really care right now.

Wow, I actually figured out how to add components to my style. It's even working.
Now I just have to decide if I want to change the whole layout as well.

So I wont see the American Short Course Champs happening.
I mean obviously I wont be in Austin but I will not have internet acess (mostly likely not) during the time of the meet. APO is covered though.
But still, I'd like to know what's going on.
