You know what a deadly combination is? Insomia and the Olympics.
Even if I am dead tired I can't fall asleep and I can't stop watching the Olympics.
I think i have slept about 5 hours in the last three days, which is so not good, especially when you have plans during the day.
Anyway, watching the Olympics is actually fun, at least the hockey part is. I am surprised that I still know so many of the guys and I still love watching it.
I actually missed watching hockey. I can't believe Sergei Federov is playing or that Teemu Selanne is still there as well. I loved how Dany Heatley got all cuddly with his captain after his goals. And I think it's the first time ever that the complete starting line of the German team consists of NHL players. That didn't help much against Sweden, seeing as irregular goals were granted and all... I was too focused on Peter Forsberg though to mind it much. And my little Finnish goalie is back as well. I was tempted to bring back my Antero Niittymaki icon.
Speaking of Finns, I think the Eurosport commentators where on crack or something when they commented the snowboarding events. They went on tangets and made sort of hilarious jokes every five seconds. It was actually fun listening to that and seeing the events taking place. How they got from commenting a flip to talking about Kimi Raikkonen I will never know.
Eurosport also has some nive features about the Games themselves and really, it's interesting who is there and all that. Thank God they show those bits during the breaks and not during live events.
Anyway, J2 at the Olympics is sort of cool. I actually want fic about that. Maybe watching hockey and all... *lol*
But they do look so cute in their beanies..

Not sleeping has another intersting outcome, I was able to watch a lot of the Berlinale interviews and press cons.
I still totally love Shah Rukh Lhan. That man is great in interviews and I think he one of the few people I can actually watch in interviews.
So damn charming and funny.

I actually had planned to make a huge post about my plot ideas and all.. but right now I don't even know if I want to or if anybody would be interested in knowing about them.
So here be poll about me posting it or not.

Date: 2010-02-18 06:38 pm (UTC)Yes, and they actually played really well. The Swedish team did little but had the luck in the end.

Date: 2010-02-18 07:05 pm (UTC)We watched a different game then. ;-) Or I just didn't pay enough attention. I wonder when I finally get to see women's ice hockey! That should be interesting to watch. I thought it was on yesterday but I must have missed it?

Date: 2010-02-18 07:09 pm (UTC)I know Germany isn't exactly what you call a good team but it could have been a much higher loss, shows that they actually could go with the pace for a while.
Hmm, I read that there is a women's game on today, at least the TV guide says something about it being on after the USA-Norway men's game. Don't know if they will show it in the end.

Date: 2010-02-18 08:23 pm (UTC)I have to admit that, apart from ski jumping which I LOVE, I have zero interest in the games. I'm more of a soccer girl :P

Date: 2010-02-19 12:33 pm (UTC)The Olympics are usually the only real chance I have at watching the NHL guys play. I rarely have any games on TV.

Date: 2010-02-19 12:35 pm (UTC)LOL, yes of course... but they would be kind of stupid to let a chance go to watch the Games live. :D
Yes, exactly. I used to have real sleeping problems during my uni time and it sucked out lout. Now it just makes me feel sick and that's not so cool either.
Hope you'll get more sleep soon. *hugs*
Thanks.. :)
