Dark Knight and what follows

So I saw The Dark Knight tonight. Josi, Claudia and me finally managed to watch it.
I liked it, even though it had some rather long winded scenes.
I liked the look of the film. I liked Christian as Batman even more than I did the first time and I can see why people think Heath was great. He was great but I still don't really get all the hype, mostly because I think if he hand't died it wouldn't have been like that. And I really think Aaron Eckhart did an awesome job as well. It's always a fine line to portray a character that changes drastically within a movie (even though I guess parts of the Two Face persona were always there in Harvey.
I didn't get Rachel in Batman Begins and I don't really get her now. There isn't really much to her character. But I was quite happy that I was totally unspoiled for the film, so I didn't expect her to die.
Being unspoiled had another good side, I did know Cillian hang out at the set to go otu with Christian but I didn't know he would be in the movie like that. I didn't know Anthony Michael Hall would be in the movie nor Eric Roberts.
So those surprises were really cool.
Some of the action scenes were a tad bit too long but amazing nonetheless.
So yes I liked it.

Date: 2008-09-09 04:35 pm (UTC)I agree. I think that he played the Joker brilliantly, but if he hadn't died there wouldn't have been quite that much hype about it.
But I liked this Rachel better than the Katie Holmes Rachel ;-).

Date: 2008-09-09 04:54 pm (UTC)Oh yes, I liked Maggie's Rachel better as well, it's just that the character doesn't do much for me. :)
