spn 3.07 "Fresh Blood"

I am at my grandparent's place so I couldn't watch SPN at my usual time but it still worked out.
And I had time to really watch and write and my grandma even brought me breakfast in and comment on how she doesn't understand much about the show but thinks the boys have great voices.
I am proud of her for trying to keep up with the pace, I mean the language is not a problem but when you have no idea what everything is about... She kept on comming back with tea for me and my throat syrup. Sweet. But I assume she just wanted to oggle the boys... hehe
Anyway,
Bela again and Gordon.
Damn there was a time when you couldn't tell from the "previously" but I like it in a way.
And they start like that exactly. Oh that means trouble for the boys.
Hi Gordon. Hi Bela.
Something is wrong here.
"Sam Winchester si the Anti-Christ."
The way he says it? I don't know if I should augh or groan.
Bela is good at that.
She knows Gordon needs here. Clever.
She is playing Gordon and she is playing the Winchesters. Not nice.
Hi boys.
And that? Is a nice and good start for a typical SPN episode.
Seriously, I missed that.
Ouch Dean! Way to trap a vampire though.
Oh I believe you Dean, I know you'd taste good.
Oh that was Dead Man's Blood I guess.
Sammy's look. Yes, that was close. Awww puppy.
And puppy again. How does he do that?
Oh Sam, not nice either but understandable.
"He was old. Like 30." *snorts*
Great.
She took vampire's blood as a drug... well.. okay.
Silent communication.
I missed that, too.
Sam is being Sam here again but he agrees with Dean and still feels bad.
That's Sammy.
OH Jesus!Guy and Gordon as FBI. *snorts* Oh this is priceless.
Gordon is creepy. seriously creepy here. *shudders*
"One of them was really tall."
*snorts*
That he is.
So now it's Gordon getting it on with the vamp guy. Uhm
Oh Sam, being all worried about Dean and not being all that happy with his actions.
Understandable.
Dean knows that Bela was the one telling Gordon.
Dean is serious honey. He will do it because you girl just threatened Sam's life (okay not intentionally but still).
Vamp guy is kinda cool.
He is right about the hunters. It's ironic that Gordon is at his mercy now.
Gordon is becoming what he hates the most. Ouch.
"We gotta kill him."
Dean's look. He didn't really think Sam would agree without his usual fight.
"I am done."
Oh Sammy.
The puppy.
Bela trying to save her ass by telling the boys where Gordon is? I am not sure if that was such a good idea.
I like how they make the music underline exactly what Gordon feels, it fits.
And how they are using the lightning and colouring to emphasize what he is going through. They are doing throughout the whole ep.
Nice fangs.
Poor guy though.
Silent communication again.
A crying Vampire talking to Dean about desperation and eternity spent alone.
*coughs*
Dean: "There is worse."
Dixon: "What?"
Dean: "Hell."
Why does Dixon come across as sympatic? At least a little.
Sam's face when they realise what happened to Gordon?
Oh I would be afraid as well.
Jesus-guy and Gordon. *coughs*
They have almost the same conversation Sam and Dean had about killing the other one.
And he is still obsessed with Sam.
Oh Jesus-guy.
Dean is proud of Sam's geekness.
And they will be getting new phones.. again.
Dean wanting to split them up, go after Gordon on his own and Sam is so not having it. Sam knows Dean is lying and scared.
Thank you Sam for talking about it, saying it out loud. He will always be looking up to Dean and he always has.
Oh brothers.
Seems like Dean is getting it, finally. Oh who can resist is pleading, teared up Sam??
Not Dean that is for sure.
New phones.
Clever Gordon.
You guys know that this is a trap right?
Of course, they do.. but that didn't do them any good.
Why does Dean's "Sam be careful" make me want to go and hug the boys?
That is an unfair advantage, but yeah vampire.
Oh shit... Dean alone with the girl. Fuck.
He is using the Colt. Phewww.
I have to admit that I never liked Gordon (and yeah the black guys is the bad one again) but here he does a great job.
Sterling does a great job. The show down was a bit.. I don't know... but it was okay for the episode.
Dammit, not Dean.
You simply do not bite Dean without Sam killing you for it. See?
Ewwww.
Sam. Oh my...
Their looks.
"You just super-vamped out grodon with no wepaon. Is a little reckless don't you think?"
Dean, thanks for making me laugh for a second.
Oh my God Dean... trying to get Sam working with him.. being a big brother. The smile... Sammy's smile..
But then Dean goes and makes it all sad again. But they are doing it anyway. It's sad.
Sad to watch them both trying and not really knowing if they are doing the right thing.
Dean tries to teach Sam for the future, a future without him still, but now he just won't let him be all helpless and just standing alone in the world. He tries to create something for Sam to remember which has something to do with just them.. As brothers.
The end of this had me going. It was heartbreaking to watch. The talk between Sam and Dean in the motel before they take on Gordon had me going as well. Dammit guys.. But hell you can see that the chemistry is there and that it still works.
Dean is finally getting why Sam is frustrated with him but he is still not really coming out of his self-destructive phase.
I liked that they had the boys together again and working a "MoTW" case together even though it turned out to be a hell of a lot more than just that.
I am not sad that Gordon is dead, it was ironic.. the way he died.
I don't know why I don't have much to say about this episode. I liked it a lot (am still awed by the performances), I liked that they are starting to let the brothers talk again, to let them make progress even though it's slow and painfull to watch.Bela was just some kind of measn to help Gordon getting to the boys, she didn't have much to do and as much as I don't mind her being there, her appearances so far do not really justify the main cast spot she has in credits (well neither Katie's justified, so there). Anyway, I am curious to see what Dean will do the next time they cross pathes. He sure wasn't happy with her for endangering Sam's and his lives like that.
Solid and really good SPN episode..
Meep and now it is to wait until Dec 13th. Sigh.
But yeah Thanksgiving.

Date: 2007-11-16 11:41 am (UTC)It is *so* painful! It's almost like they are physically hurting us! *oh show* (which also, makes it all the more delicious. *g*)
Anyway, I am curious to see what Dean will do the next time they cross pathes.
Personally, i really hope he kills her. I mean, it's not going to happen, but i'd really like him to see that one through just because it sounded like such an empty threat, because we all know she's not going to buy it anytime soon...

Date: 2007-11-16 12:05 pm (UTC)It's torture. And not knowing if it will go on or not is even more torture. As Jared said even the boys don't know what will happen and how it will be solved.
i'd really like him to see that one through just because it sounded like such an empty threat, because we all know she's not going to buy it anytime soon...
I tink in that particular moment he meant it. He really wanted to kill her, not only because she just risks their lives for a job but because she didn't even show any sign of regret towards it. And well he is more worried about Sam's life than his own but yeah.
I know I will not happen and I would actually like to see Bela in an epsiode where she doesn't fall out of it... It seems forced some times.

Date: 2007-11-16 12:09 pm (UTC)Oh brothers.
Dean really needed to hear that. It felt like it was a long time coming and Dean just crumbled in response. Oh, boys.

Date: 2007-11-16 12:15 pm (UTC)I think we all needed to hear him (or one of them) say it out loud. It was overdue...
The end, after the talk, was just heartbreaking though. Sam's smile and then his face at the very end.
Really, oh boys.
