... and from this ep on I even believe it.
Last week's ep was good, I liked it. I liked the acting but something felt off. I think they solved that as well...
Because can the boys be more
So they have been searching for Ava. For over a month now. Wow. Sam really feels guilty and yeah he says so later. And dude, saving people is not a good way to compensate for feeling lost and desperate but it at least is helping people. Sam tries to redeem himself even before somethign actually has happened, and he, just like Gordon, doesn't know if it really will happen in the end. Saving as many people as he can to change his destiny? You know, they are right, it does sound a bit like Constantine.
Urgh, tsited head, blood and dolls. Creepy.
Anyway, the Sam and Dean scenes were great and I could laugh, snort and giggle. Because they are back to their old banter, if even for just some moments but it feels good to see the chemistry of season one still being there. And once again, they tought to be a couple... Hmm, not this time.
Oh God, Dean in the room, on the bed. Dean paying Sam back for the "compensating" comment. *snorts* Nice move. And if looks could kill, Sam might have succeeded with Dean.
Dolls, are creepy. Just saying.
I know everyone is comparing the two girls with Sam's and Dean's relationship. I can see why but I am not really convinced it was meant this way. Sure eric Kripe has ideas and knows how to convey them (at least he tries and succeeds most of the times) but I am not sure he wanted that. And if, it really is a freaky way of foreshadowing. I mean, it implies that Dean goes nuts over trying to protect Sam and Sam will be the one sacrificing everything to save Dean and other people??? Isn't that a bid high?
Oh and Dean finally agrees that John has been a crappy father all along. And that to a drunken Sam who wallows in self-pity and actually proves to be John's son. And God, Sam calling Dean *bossy* and *short* is really hilarious and obviously a shout-out. But then him pleading Dean to promise and kill him? OUCH!
Fuck Sam, as if Dean doesn't already have enough issues with that. And Dean is right with being pissed at John but he still promises Sam, because he cannot not do it. But I thik Dean is lying here. I doubt he'll be bale to keep that promise, even if he wants to. Just to help Sam.
Sam on the bed while Dean is watching him? Ouch again.
Sammy is paying for the alc.. hangover Sam. The hair. The confused look. OMG.
"What do you want to do. Poke her with a stick?"
Dean thinks about it.
Sam's face to that.
*laughs*
Wet!Sam saving the kid and Dean all worried. That was a nice scene and even if the camera work was kinda off... it had nice visiuals.
And man, if the hug at the end wasn't arkward.
I actually liked that they didn't end the ep with the boys leaving, Sam reminding Dean of his promise (and you could actually see Dean cursing invardly because he thought Sam didn't remember). I know some people think that the gilrs till being in the means that the place is still haunted and that Rose's sacrifice didn't really work. But I just think it is a memory of them and not really their ghosts. But yeah, who knows.
All in all this ep had more funny moments and it was a bit on the easy side, except for the heavy undertones and the still not solved emotional issues hanging in the air. I am looking forward to see how they are dealing with that in the future. Nothing felt really off here but they mood was still different from the last episodes and I can't say that I mind. It was not bad and I will definitely re-watch the ep later tonight. It was different though.
. So ratings are not out (not on the comms) and I am proud of myself for not looking. And considering the reviews I think there really isn't anything to worry about, but who knows what network exes are thinking. But there seems to be a positive hinting towards season 3, but yeah I am not really thinking about that.
So the CW is screening episodes online now, the day after they aired. It's not really working for me because it always stops at 10 minutes but I hope to figure that out soon (or I am really living in the wrong country which I doubt because it works with other eps). And they are selling SPN into syndication soon, which makes a third season more possible. But again, who knows... It probably won't be until May upfronts before they say something.

And now I am off to re-vamp Klete-Keller.com, because I am actually sick of the grey. Let's just hope it doesn't turn up more ugly afterwards. :)

Date: 2007-01-19 09:34 pm (UTC)The way I understood that final scene is, that they were now reunited because Rose had died (which was her sacrifice). Because all Maggie wanted was not to be lonely... either by keeping the girl for herself (killing her) or by being with Rose.
The ep was great though, I really start to get back into the show (still think the fandom is scary though, sorry *lol*)

Date: 2007-01-19 09:40 pm (UTC)Yes I see that, but I was thinking that after being reunited the picture shown of them is one of memories.. Oh well I know I doesn't make much sense. I get that Rose died to save everyone else though..

Hehe, well ratings seems to show that more people are getting back into it again.
And due, sometimes fandom is beyond scary, it is downright insane....
And I think I just spoiled myself terribly for ep 14 *headdeskwhimper*
