Back from the family party. Ouch my head.
We surprisingly got along okay.

Wow Ryan!
2 WRs today. I think Aaron should feel threatened now. Okay, it is Short Course but still that was freaking fast.
Pats Larsen. Poor thing.
*hugs*
Edit: He is taking it as training? And he is sick? Okayyyyy.

Date: 2006-04-09 06:08 pm (UTC)Oh wow, that could mean interesting races in the 200 back, I am not sure if I should be happy with it or not. Aaron is still my No.1

Date: 2006-04-09 06:28 pm (UTC)They definitely should. This could get interesting. Of course, I'm patriotic and therefore my no 1 is Markus ;-).
I don't know much about the swimming world, but was there a reason Aaron wasn't there (at least I didn't hear his name mentioned)?

Date: 2006-04-09 06:36 pm (UTC)Germany is short of a back specialist who actually swims long course.. So I am going for Aaron or Ryan. But I like Markus as well. This really can be interesting. And there is still Michael Phelps, who can be damn fast in backstroke as well.
I knew Ryan can do that, he was third in Montreal and has been swimming pretty good since 2004 Trials.

Uhm, yes there are some reasons. First, school. Aaron is finishing university now and didn't want to go to Shanghai. A lot of worl class swimmers are skipping short course meets to concentrate on the long course major meets. This year those will be the European Championships and the Pan Pacific Games. Short Course isn't that popular outside of the World Cuo circuite (where you can earn pretty good money).

Date: 2006-04-10 09:41 am (UTC)Yeagh, some swimmers though love Short Course.
BTW I got a strange guestbook entry on APO, someone says Aaron is visiting Austria. Have you heart anything about it? No one seems to know what she is talking about.

Date: 2006-04-10 07:24 pm (UTC)Does she mean he's visiting right now? Or plans to visit? I haven't heard anything about it either way. There's an international swim meeting in Vienna at the end of April (as far as I could find out). Maybe he's going to be there, but I suppose you'd know more about that than me.
