This has to be mentioned because it rarely happens. Yay David!!!
It was the same story in the 100 breast with NOVA's Dave Denniston gliding to a two-and-a-half second victory in 53.90, but he was well off his own meet standard of 52.60 from last year.
Am wondering if he gets tucked in for that... ;)

The 29 year-old veteran representing Mission Viejo clocked 8:52.81 for the 1000, lapping the entire field and outdistancing his nearest competitor by almost 32 seconds.
Chad Carvin, 29, became the first two-event winner here when he took the 400 IM in 3:47.77, breaking Ron Karnaugh's meet standard of 3:48.98 from 1998
