They are kind of a weird pair... Metatron and Castiel. And those trials are weird. Why now? And why trails?

Are they really considering this deal? Swapping tablets, stopping the trials and Crowley stops killing everyone they've saved? Right... this will so not work out.

I have to admit that I don't really get Castiel's storyline, but it is kinda funny.
But curing Crowley, does that mean he'll be gone? But... but Crowley... I'd love to have him around next season as well.

I think I have to watch it all over again to get everything that has happened here. Because there was so much and there was so much meaning in all of it.
But this might be one of the best season finales or episodes of this show. This is the show I fell in love with and it had the brothers being brothers and actually talking and listening to each other.
The real sacrifice here was not Sammy being willing to die to close the gates to Hell but that they actually gave it up to no lose each other. And this might actually be the one thing that can save them in the end. They might be the ones able to fix heaven again. Millions of fallen angels on earth, not really good thing.
Also, Crowley and Kevin are still alive.
I so, so hope that they can make season 9 just as good (and I wonder how they'll make human!Castiel fit and if they'll keep him that way for the entire season, like a hunt for his grace... omg that can turn so bad).
But this episode was just... wow...

When does season 9 start again?
I can't believe that I'm almost of the fandom and am loving this show all over again... this is really kind of a little weird.
And after Dean's speech there I so want a coda... I want to read again, dammit.

Also I did not see the angel thing coming. The last few episodes I was wondering wtf with this new angel/close heaven tangent. So when it became apparent and we saw all tthe angels falling I was kinda in awe. I have to re-watch the episode as well, just to let it all soak in some more.

I didn't see it coming either. I was never a fan of the whole angel plot and whatnot but this finale actually worked for me. It was very well done.
I'll so re-watch it this weekend... Maybe even the whole season... just to see what else I've missed along the way. :)
