SPN 8.01 "We Need To Talk About Kevin"

the_milky_wayThis will be a very short review, since I watched this during my lunch break at work and couldn't take notes....
Shallow things first: dirty!Dean and Sam!hair.... I liked.... also quiet voices, all deep and growly? I like that even more.
I kinda liked the way they split up the ep into scenes from now and flashbacks.
I also get where Dean's coming from with the "we always promised not to look for each other and we always broke that promise, why not this time" thingy, at the same time I kinda wish Dean would be happy for Sammy trying 'normal' all over again. The dog thing in the car was cute and hilarious, though.
Guess Sam not looking for Dean will stand between the for a while now. Oh well, we can't have them without any kind of rift for a longer time right? That would be boring... *sighs*
Benny, well that was interesting. Him and Dean seem to be close despite everything that stands between them. I wonder if Dean has changed his stance towards being friends with demonic creatures? He has no ground to judge Sammy anymore now, though.
Oh Sammy...
What I don't really get is, how Sam decided to leave Amelia... I get that Dean called all his cell phones and I guess Sam finally listened to one of them but we never got that during the episode, so Sam taking off in the beginning was kinda weird (or I missed something which is likely since watching it during lunch break was kind of idiotic).
Hello Crowley! Of course, he's gonna play with everyone present no matter what.
Unpopular opinion: I don't miss Castiel at all
I'm actually looking forward to this season, even though I don't have much to say here right now. I so have to re-watch this episode again. THE BOYS ARE BACK!
The preview: Ooookaay...

I'm actually looking forward to just seeing the boys every week again.. :)
