Yeah, Dean is still pissed that Sam left him alone for a year think he was dead. I would be, too but still... I miss the brothers together.

Eww.. ewww.. this is just so eww. Yuck. So SPN but still so damn eww...Okay, I think I'm sick now.

Okay, I have to admit I love those kind of parallel scenes. Nice Sammy.

But a hooker? Well, I know people will bitch about this but I think it shows how much Sam has changed. This is Sam dealing with way too much stuff.
On a shallow note, I really like Sam's hair there.. not to mention the rest.

Yeah, right. Sam won't call. He's way too casual about it and I think he doesn't really want to deal with anything at all. He's all work and no live. In a way he is like Dean there when Dean came back.. just more focused.. like in Mystery Spot. Sam's lost without Dean and I don't know if they really want him to show this way or not. And really, I like this new Sam in many ways because he fits into the show and the story.

The cop is sort of cool with the laser gun and the spiked soda. LOL

Sam's face when Castiel shows up.. God, why always Sam? This is not cool. I have to admit that Sam's indignation is funny, though. But it breaks my heart as well.

Also, Thank you Dean for pointing out that SAM SAVED THE WORLD! Dean's standing up for Sam there even though he's still pissed at his little brother.

Castiel is an ass right there. But then he didn't came because Dean called. At least something. Also, 'more profound bound'? Really.. Oh come on.

Castiel on a rant is a little funny there... Kinda.

So they all have change as it seems. Interesting.

That's the staff? Okay... Wow Castiel.. has changed. And an angel gave the staff to the kid then. Heaven is really a rogue place right now.

His soul? Angels are taking souls now? Wow.

Sam and Castiel are on the same page there and Dean is fighting it. Shows how all of them have changed a lot during the last year. Dean is caring now, always was, but now more than ever. Castiel doesn't have the luxury to care and Sam isn't really able to really care in his state of mind.

The look Dean gives Sam there... Mistrust and maybe even anger? Yeah, I don't like it either but... Man, I miss the brother trusting each other and doing everything for the other one. I hope we'll get that back over the time.

Balthazar. Okay... And there is some sort of search party already?

That's Dean right there. I mourn the car though. Really, I feel with Sam. I liked it.

A soldier of Raphael. Heaven is in a state of civil war. Wow. Amd they are buying souls now to be more powerful?

Sam's face... I think this is one of his biggest fears.. along with Dean not trusting him,

"I expected more from my brothers. I'm sorry." And he's looking at Sam there. That's why he didn't come when Sam called. Castiel was ashamed. Still.. he was a dick.

Oh.. oh... Nice. Balthazar! I already kind of like him. Accent. Also, he's kinky and gone wild. Hehe... Interesting.

So he sees it as a new start. Freedom... When the parents are out of the house. How they aren't any different from humans is not exactly surprising.

Souls are the only thing worth buying. Ouch. This is the new theme of the season?

Yeah, well angels aren't that reliable after all. Glad they are actually showing that Castiel has changed as well.


"Are you okay?" Oh Dean.. thank you for asking. But still all the mistrust. Dean still knows Sam but I think he can't figure him out right now. Sam knows he's changed but his not really facing it all. Maybe he can't.

"You know what it does to you. It tortured you."
Yeah, Sam.. right. That's true. But that doesn't mean you aren't affected by it at all. And I think dean knows that Sam's heading for a huge break down there but he doesn't really know what to do about it.

Getting into the car at separate times? Ouch. Shows again how far apart they are, how much they'll have to work to get closer again. But during this ep there were glimpses of the brothers again, like they are slowly getting there. There was banter, there was working together so fluently that you didn't even realize it until it was almost over. There was the season 1 Dean with his sarcasm and indignant!Sam which was awesome to see even though it broke my heart because Sam needed Castiel and didn't get that help.


This felt like a SPN episode again, way better than the season premier but there is still so much between the brothers that it becomes apparent that it will not be solved int he next few episodes. I will be waiting for Sam's break down. He knows he has changed and I think he also knows he's not dealing with it all that well. he puts his thoughts, his power into work and he's not really living anymore. I hope that being back together with Dean will change that. I hope that Dean will be the one getting through Sam's walls.
Yeah, Sam comes across as being a dick and being emotionless but there were some scenes where I could actually see a crack in the mask and I think Sam's just not ready to think about it all or to really deal with it. As he said to Dean, they are different and always has been (and am always amazed how people tend to forget that.. another reason why I'm not really reading reviews anymore or any kind of comments in certain comms. This is my show, still and I like to have my POV not influenced my other's anymore. I think that's what saved season 5 for me, just watching, unspoiled and having my own little thoughts about it all).

Also, I might even think that this Sam is hot, so forceful and all... I do like my Sammy caring but this has some appeal, too.

Dean. Yeah. He's caring for sam so much that's why he's having a hard time realizing this new person there with him. He's had a year of a somewhat normal life (compared to what he had before) with a constant of things there. Ben, Lisa and no monsters. Of course, he is having a rough time getting back into things when his life of that one year is still around, interfering. I also think Sam might really be a little jealous there but he knows why Dean did what he did and that his brother cares for people. Oh and maybe Sam's waiting for Dean to actually see him again...

Castiel. Yeah, I know the shippers will jubilate. I'm intrigued though. That is a Castiel we've never seen before and the things going on in Heaving are clearly affecting him. I'm interested to see what the writer's will make out of that because last season's Castiel didn't do much for me but I tolerated him, liked him most of the times even (and ignored fandom). I just hope they won't take the same way the did the last two seasons and make Sam the evil and dark one again.. this is getting old. Seeing Castiel all rough and determined though, has me cheering a little.

I think this will all be very interesting or at least I hope it will be.
I do miss the old days of Sam and Dean though. But after this episode I can say that I still like the show, that I have my doubts and my suspicions and my hopes, but I still like watching, which is the most important part for me. After the premier I might have feared that this could go very wrong or that I might get bored soon. Not the case so far even if there are things I don't like. This is my show and I love watching it.

Also on a side note: I though we were done with Angels?
I surprisingly don't seem to mind Balthazar though. Must be the accent.. LOL

The God of Truth? Wow, that... Okay, this episode will be very interesting and I want to know if Sammy is lying there or not... Next week please?

Yes, to the not i touch with his emotional side thing. So true.
I get him, too. I think he knows he that he couldn't deal when Dean wasn't there and now maybe he might have the chance to start dealing with things.
