I haven't read any reviews and I probably won't (safe for some exceptions).
And this is not my usual review, just a few thoughts about the

"Carry on my Wayward Son"
TRADITION!

I love they way they shot that. "Don't you cry no more" and Dean tells Sam to leave and not come back.
Meep.

Facts:
Dean watches Disney Channel (Zack and Cody... Dude!)

Sam can be stupid sometimes but he still finds ways around it. Amazing, I wish it would work for me in real life.

Loads of cultural referrences and I got them all (a Russel Crowe joke people... LOL, not that it was nice to compare him to Lucifer but still *snorts*), see quotes.

Dean loves Sammy. Sammy loves Dean. It's all about the family.

God has left the building.

Lilith has a huge mouth. Uhm...

Sam finally knows that he has been played and manipulated, so he knows Dean after all. He didn't need the blood? Ouch.
Poor little addict though.

Castiel painting withhis blood is oddly appropriate.

Prophet Chuck doesn't know everything.

Dean still calls him Sammy.

The brothers made up. A little. For now.

Cliffhanger.

Thoughts:
Some things were pretty clear throughout the season even without being spoiled. I wasn't spoiled at all for this and I think it was better this way.
I'll try to hold that up during the whole of next season.

I knew Ruby wasn't good or in love with Sam or just doing things for the love to other people (human beings). It was pretty clear to me that she had her own agenda and I actually like that Kripke went with that because it makes sense.
Lilith being the last seal was clear as well and I like the way they did that, too.

Sammy's eyes go black.. oh boy. I guess that isn't good at all.
And yeah, rpedictable in a way but I still didn't see it coming.

Ruby is dead now. Hmm, wasn't sure if they'd go this way. But yeah anyway. I think it wouldn't have made much sense keeping her around after she had fulfilled her function.
She made Sam what he was/is 'supposed' to be and that's all she had to do.

So the boys are back together. Uhm, does that mean they' be torn apart in season 5? Don't get me wrong I love that they are together again but I don't trust Kripke in the matter of keeping them togethr.
Oh well, we will see.

It makes sense that they didn't manage to avoind the apocalypse, just due to the fact that everyone seems to be having their own plans and is manipulatiing everyone to get there. And the Winchesters are caught in the middle.

But you know, some of this epsiode was really kind of predictable and I am not sure whether I should be disappointed or not.
But I really liked this episode as an SPN episode, not sure about it being a finale though.
*shrugs*
It was all about temptations, which was kind of a cool theme for a season finale and it wasn't too much in your face, which I liked a lot. I expected to cry through this episode and I am actually glad I didn't have to and that there wasn't really a reason.

I don't care for Dean/Castiel. Not at all. I don't care much for Castiel, periode. But I can see it. Not that it is subtle or anything. I am just not sure if I want to see that through almost a whole season season. I am pretty sure it might be boring for me if it's too much. *shrugs* Also, I know half the fandom will be in glee over Castiel (and I refuse to call him Cas because it still sounds like bad fanfic) and I am just... 'well yeah okay'. It makes sense to have him be an outcast so that he can be there ion season 5. I just hope that it will still be more about the brothers fighting the apocalypse than about Castiel trying to back into heaven.

I just love that in the Sam and Dean are the ones most people are squeeing about (and yes people it would really be cool to use a cut when squeeing about an episode *headdesk*)

Jared and Jensen were amazing. Really.
And I love how Jared acted out the scene where he said "Sorry". It was real and heartbreaking.

Bobby! There are no words. He is just awesome and I am so damn glad he isn't dead.
He called Dean princess! Dean's face when Bobby lay it on him. Love.

The angels. Well, I kind of love how they weren't *the* good ones here. It's an interesting twist.
And Dean's oath/deal was coming back to him. Oh Dean.

Chuck is still hilarious.

Well, then the waiting begins. September here we come.

On a side note, I so want the season 4 Gag Reel NOW!!!!

Totally random observation, this episode had such a 70s feeling to it. Sam's whole outfit, the hair, the car.. even the way Dean looked. It was still all kinds of hot thought.
Pretty boys.

Quotes:

"Sammy, I am sorry."

"I wanna see my brother!"

"Planetary enema."
*snorts*

"Your own little Russell Crowe, complete with sourly attitude."
Dude!! Dude! *laughs*

"God? God, has left the building."
Ouch.

"I'll take Sam as he is."
Okay.

"He is coming."
Nice way to end the season.
.

Can't believe that this is it for the season.
I think I am going to re-watch season 1 and 2 today. I have so many things to do but I just don't know where to start, so procrastination it is.

I am also waiting for the fic to start showing up.
*waits*
Oh, and now Southland.

Also, my mum just bought me a new TV with a DVD player, which plays DivX. Meaning, I can watch season 4 on TV now.
I didn't expect that.
