Oh and Jason broke Anthony's US Open record...
Jason Lezak swam his way to the U.S. Open record in the 100m free, grabbing first place in 47.32. Lezak, who won the event at this meet last year, broke Anthony Ervin's U.S. Open record set in 2000.
Aaron is suffering from a sprained ankle... Damn!
But he is swimming quite good at the NCAA's
After Foley's and Hansen's victories, Texas freshman Aaron Peirsol (Irvine, Calif.), the world record- holder in the 200-meter backstroke, kept his undefeated college record intact with a win in the 200-yard backstroke. Despite a sprained ankle suffered earlier in the day, Peirsol topped Michigan freshman Chris DeJong, 1:43.98 to 1:44.18.
