And the kid saw it all. Why's Dean letting him go? Because he hasn't killed anybody yet? Oh I can see this coming back and biting him in the ass.

I liked this episode. I liked how they changed between now and then, how everything fit together. Well done Mr. Ackles. This felt smooth in the way it was shot and executed. Jared did an awesome job again. As did Jensen.

I get why Sam let her go both times. it's such a Sam thing to do. I also get why Dean went back and killed her, it's a Dean thing. It fits and is not out of character. What I didn't like was that Dean deliberately lied to Sam about trusting him. I know it's to set the tune for the coming episodes and I really hope Sam finds out so that they can actually confront this thing between them. I just don't like seeing them at odds again because that's what the last three seasons have been about and I kinda want them to work together again Sure, Dean's worried, doing everything to protect Sam, even from himself but does he have to go ad lie like that?

It makes sense in so many ways but it doesn't mean I have to like it. Yes, it makes me sad and a little angry at Dean but I'm surprisingly not raging about it, which is a little odd to be honest.

But I think I understand both sides here and I have the small hope that this will come back bite Deann in the ass and have Sam eventually forgive him. I also really hope Dean actually starts trusting Sam some time soon (but with Sam pulling this like this one vanishing, taking the car and ignoring calls... well yeah, excuse me but I wouldn't exactly be convinced about his mental stability either). I do get Sam as well.. he's fighting with himself there and it can't be easy. He needs Dean on his side, not painting everything black and white (which he managed a few times in the past and I wonder why he's so set on not doing it now. I guess he's afraid, scared to hell even and that sets him back into the old patterns. Dean has no fucking idea how to deal with things anymore, so the old patterns actually mean safety to him and then Sam goes and does something unexpected and Dean actually freaks. I think killing Amy was the only logical consequence.)

Question: what's up with Bobby??

Next week... Oh I'm looking forward to it. I guess Sam will be fighting for Dean then. I'm curious how that will turn out. And yeah, I think judging from the preview, Dean now has a lot of things to feel guilty about.
