I think it's odd that Sam wasn't there or even mentioned in the end. You'd think he'd be as much part of Dean's destiny as everything else.
Ah, me too. Especially since the angels obviously wanted Sam to have this experience too, or he wouldn't have been there. I'm curious WHAT EXACTLY they wanted Sam to understand (yeah, apart from "come to the light side again, Luke" :P).

But a big fucking hooray for Dean getting told to finally quit whining!
